Preceding SpaceUp NZ - on Thu 13 & Fri 14 Feb - members of the Space Education Center from the Japanese Space Agency (JAXA) will be holding a workshop for teachers at AUT.

The workshop will target intermediate and secondary school teachers.

The exact content and format of the workshop is still to be decided, but similar workshops overseas have included sessions on:

• Hands-on Rocketry
• Space science & planetary exploration
• Viewing Earth From Space
• Learning on the Sun
• Learning of the power of Air
• Science of Flight
• Hands-on Robotics
• Astronomy in the classroom
• Microgravity in the classroom
